5a. Audience measurement, reminders and emails

When you open a game page, start a game, share it or add it to your ritual, we record that event so the game's creator can see how their game is doing, and so rankings such as "Most played" reflect everyone who plays. Each event holds the game, what happened, your country, region and city as Cloudflare estimates them from your connection, your device type, browser, operating system and language, the page or site that sent you, and a random identifier your browser keeps.

That identifier is created by this site, is never shared, and is replaced after 13 months at most. It is only used to count visitors and returning visitors in aggregate. Your IP address is not stored. Creators only ever see totals, never individual visits. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, or you turn measurement off below, no identifier is kept and your visits are counted under a value that changes every day.

If you turn on daily reminders, your browser's push subscription, timezone, chosen hour, the games in your ritual and your current streak are stored so that one notification a day can be sent, and only if you have not played yet. Turning reminders off deletes the subscription.

If you have an account, we email you about it: to confirm your address, to reset or change your password, and when a game you submitted is reviewed. Some emails are optional: friend requests and accepted invites, and for creators a Monday audience summary and news about their games. Each optional email has an unsubscribe link, and all of them can be switched off from Email settings. Emails are sent through Cloudflare Email Service; their content is built from the information described above and is not used for advertising.
